Clutch Bearing OE 053151231031

1. Reducing friction and wear: using proper grease and high quality bearing materials reduces the coefficient of friction and prolongs the service life of the clutch system.

2. Cushioning and vibration damping: the clutch release bearing can absorb shocks and vibrations to a certain extent, play the role of cushioning and vibration damping to protect the clutch system and other related parts from damage.

Clutch bearing, often referred to as clutch release bearing, is an important component in the automotive transmission system. It is installed between the clutch and transmission, and mainly plays the role of reducing friction, lowering resistance and protecting related parts during the clutch engagement and disengagement process.

Principle of operation

When the clutch pedal is depressed, the force of the clutch pedal is transmitted to the clutch release bearing, causing it to move towards the centre of the clutch pressure plate, pushing the pressure plate to separate it from the friction disc, thus cutting off the power output from the crankshaft. When the clutch pedal is released, the spring pressure inside the pressure plate pushes the pressure plate forward and presses it towards the clutch disc, so that the clutch disc and the clutch bearing re-unite to complete a working cycle.

Common failures of clutch bearings include ablation, wear and rattling. The causes of these failures mainly include the following aspects:

1. High working temperature: Drivers frequently half-press the clutch or improperly adjust the clutch free stroke during driving, resulting in the clutch being in the state of half-engagement and half-disengagement, which generates a large amount of heat and transmits it to the release bearing, thus triggering the ablation fault.

2. Lack of lubrication: The clutch release bearing needs to be filled with grease regularly to maintain its good working condition. If the grease is insufficient or deteriorated, it will aggravate the wear of the bearing and produce strange noise.

3. Improper adjustment of freewheeling travel: too little or too much freewheeling travel of the clutch pedal will result in incomplete clutch disengagement or poor engagement, which in turn will cause damage to the release bearing.

4. Other factors: such as uneven adjustment of the release lever, deformation of the release fork, failure of the release bearing return spring, etc. may also cause damage to the release bearing.
